The Chakras? Really?
'I learnt all about those at the beginning of my journey'
'First thing we covered in Circle'
'I've learnt to open them up and close them in an instant'
'All the opening up stuff, that's more for beginners'.....
I could add many more phrases which amount to the same thing, but should we be so dismissive of the vitally important centres?
I feel the need and the nudge to take a journey back to basics so we can remind ourselves of the importance of these vibrant spinning wheels of energy.
We have lots of chakra energy centres throughout our bodies, but most of us are generally familiar with the seven main ones that run down the centre of the body. These run from the base upwards to the crown of our heads (see diagram).
Around our physical form we have an energy field called the Aura, which is made up of several different layers, these layers connect to the various chakras with the higher and lower aspects of our physical being, spiritual being and awareness of our Divinity.
The health of our Chakras will determine the health and well-being of our physical form whilst on the Earth plane. They are the cenral energy hubs that connect us to our energy fields, to our environment, to each other and to our spirit and Divinity. When they go out of balance, it messes up energy somewhere else in the chain which can block us and create mental, emotional or physical pain or discomfort.
For example, two of the layers we interact with constantly are the mental and emotional ones. So if we have had an experience that has created pain or trauma on a mental or emotional level, if we don't fully deal with that, and tend to bury the effects, this will eventually block the flow of energy in those fields. This will then block the energy flow through the specific chakra that connects to the physical body. This will then start to create physical pain, ailments or disease.
Unfortunately, we generally only focus on the physical effect and try to treat it with pills or treatments via a doctor, which will only ever heal the symptom, (often temporarily), and not the root cause. We need to get help with unlocking and releasing the mental or emotional issue that will get the energy flowing throughout our chakras and system to bring us back into balance.
However, if we are not ready to deal with these buried issues, we can help ourselves in the meantime by making sure we keep our chakras balanced on a regular basis, to help them from blocking and leading to physical issues.
So, when you sit in meditation or start to do spiritual work or connection, get into the habit of really focusing on each chakra as you open up, don't just pay lip service to the process! Ask your guides to help you to balance each centre as you open them up fully and remember to always do so. It may take a few minutes more each time, but it will really help you in the long run and can open an energy doorway to help you to start to deal with those stuck or buried issues.
Please make sure you don't shut down your chakras tightly at the end of your spiritual practices either, they need to be functioning! But see them close in like a flower, but not close.
I hope this gentle nudge may help you to stop and think and not take the chakras for granted, we are energy beings, these are our energy centres, and energy needs to be maintained and kept in harmony for our smooth functioning whilst on Earth.
Take care everyone, much love,
Toni xxx
